Privacy
This site is the archive of Gaetano Zampogna’s work. These few sentences say what it keeps about its visitors, what Google receives, and how to change your mind.
Who answers
The artist’s studio, at studio@gaetanozampogna.com. Write there to ask what the site keeps about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted.
The visit
The site sets one session cookie, gz_sid, holding a random number signed by the site and no identity. It counts the day’s questions to the curator and limits abuse of the contact form. It lasts a year.
Someone who signs in to the studio as an editor receives a second cookie, gz_editor, valid for thirty days, which identifies their Google account. A visitor never receives it.
The site is served through Cloudflare, which sees the network address of every request in order to protect it; the contact form is guarded by Cloudflare Turnstile. The typefaces are hosted by the site itself: no request goes to Google Fonts.
Enquiries
Whoever writes through the contact form leaves a name, an e-mail address and a message, which the studio receives by mail and keeps in its own records until it deletes them. The site also keeps a hashed fingerprint of the network address, to limit enquiries within an hour, never the address itself. An enquiry moved to the bin is deleted after thirty days.
The curator
Questions put to the curator and its answers are kept, conversation by conversation, to understand how to improve it. They hold no identity unless you type one. They can be deleted on request to the studio.
Google Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits. Before any choice Google receives no cookie and no identity: the site tells it, from its own server, a hashed fingerprint of the session, the address of the page visited, the network address so that the country and city can be derived, and a coarse description of the device (phone or computer, browser family and operating system). Google cannot trace a person from this.
Choosing «Accept» lets Google use its own cookies to recognise later visits, and the site tells it a pseudonymous identifier, a fingerprint of the session, so the visit before and after the choice is one. Choosing «Refuse» leaves the page count and nothing more. The choice is remembered by the gz_consent cookie for thirteen months and can be changed at any time from «Cookie preferences» at the foot of every page.
The site carries no advertising and hands no data to third parties for it.
